Building Envelope Remediation Warranty

It will protect your work, while providing your clients with the security and peace of mind that you are qualified to handle the undertaking. We offer both 5 and 10 year Building Envelope Remediation warranties. There’s also a Maintenance Operation Program (MOP), designed specifically to compliment a Building Envelope Warranty in support of multi-family projects.
Building Envelope Renovations in British Columbia are protected by 2-5 warranty insurance as set out by the Homeowner Protection Act Renovation Regulation. Mandatory warranty insurance includes the following minimum standards of coverage:
2 years’ coverage on labour and materials as follows:
•24 months’ for any defect in materials and labour and for non-compliance with the building code*.
5 and optional 10 years’ coverage on building envelope as follows:
•5 and optional 10 years’ coverage for defects in the building envelope renovation, including a defect which permits unintended water penetration that causes, or is likely to cause material damage to the residential building.
*Non compliance with the building code is considered a defect if the non-compliance constitutes an unreasonable health or safety risk, or has resulted in, or is likely to result in, material damage to the residential building.
