Warranty Benefits for British Columbia
STRATA
National is pleased to be a new home warranty
provider in B.C. offering you great service and mandated warranty
benefits. If you are an owner in a Strata corporation, your benefits
are broken down into two parts to include, firstly, your own unit and
secondly, the common property:
- In your home, a one-year warranty against defects in materials and labor.
- In
your home, a two-year warranty against defects in the major systems in
your home, the exterior cladding and the Building Code.
- If
you are required to move out of your home while repairs are being made,
National will cover your reasonable expenses to a maximum of $100.00 a
day.
- With your common property, a fifteen-month warranty against defects in materials and labor.
- With
your common property, a two-year warranty against defects in the major
systems in your home, the exterior cladding and the Building Code.
- With your common property, a five-year warranty against building envelope defects.
- With your common property, a ten-year warranty against structural defects.
The maximum protection available to you is $100 thousand for your home and $2.5 million for your common property.
DETACHED HOMES
If you are an owner of a detached home in fee simple ownership, your benefits include:
- A one-year warranty against defects in materials and labor.
- A two-year warranty against defects in the major systems in your home, the exterior cladding and the Building Code.
- A five-year warranty for any building envelope defects;
- A ten-year warranty for any structural defects.
- If
you are required to move out of your home while repairs are being made,
National will cover your reasonable expenses to a maximum of $100.00 a
day.
The maximum protection available to you is $200 thousand.
